Special Issue Proposals

Journal of Research Practice (JRP) publishes special issues from time to time, to highlight specific challenges to research practice or research education. Please click here for a list of all the special issues published so far.

Typically, it takes about a year to complete a special issue, from initial announcement to final publication. The initial announcement is circulated in various forums in order to attract brief proposals from interested authors. The proposals are reviewed by the special issue editors. Authors of selected proposals are then advised to develop their proposals into full-length articles. These articles are then submitted online through the journal's Web site and each of them goes through a double-blind peer-review process. The articles that clear the peer-review process make it to the special issue.

Conceiving and editing special issues is an important service to the community of researchers, scholars, research-inclined professionals, and research students. It is also a great learning experience for the special issue editors.

If you are interested in editing a special issue in this journal, please send your proposal to the Principal Contact.
