This pullover has been my standard, fall-winter-casual-wear sweater for three years. Knit it in a durable, classic yarn, and it will become your default sweater for cold weather, too - casual, cozy, easy to wear, and a cinch to knit up in bulky yarn.

Because it's designed with a lot of ease, only two sizes are given. On a person of average build, there will be about 12 to 16 inches of ease; you can knit it with less ease, if you wish.

The sleeves are knit a couple of inches longer than a standard fit so that the shaped sleeve ribbing can be folded back to create a slightly snugger cuff. The collar ribbing is also tapered towards the neck to provide a closer, face-framing fit. When knit in a yarn with substantial body, such as the yarn used in the model, the collar won't slump.
