About
Presentation
Founded in 1991, Francophonies d’Amérique is a multidisciplinary journal intended to serve as a forum for scholars in minority francophone communities. It establishes a network of information and cultural exchange between francophone communities outside Québec, largely isolated across North America, including those in Ontario, Acadia, Western Canada, and the United States. Various aspects of French life in these regions are analyzed and studied both academically and in a manner accessible to readers interested in francophones in North America. Francophonies d’Amérique is both an essential tool for scholars conducting research on minority francophone communities and a useful source of information for anyone interested in North American Francophonie outside Québec.
