Export and Import Permits Act (Importations)

2008-06-03

The following changes have been made to accurately reflect the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) role in administering the provisions of the Export and Import Permits Act:

  1. In paragraph 2, references to the applicable legislation are now available on the Department of Justice Web site.
  2. In paragraph 12, references to the general import permits are now available on the Department of Justice Web site.
  3. In paragraph 16, reference to D10-18-5, Customs Bonded Warehouses TRQ Agricultural Goods, is now mentioned.
  4. In paragraph 19, updated information is provided on clothing and textiles.
  5. In paragraphs 31 and 32, new information is provided on disposal of goods.
  6. In paragraphs 35 and 36, new contact information is provided.
  7. Appendices A and B have been updated to include new document examples.
  8. Appendix C has been updated to include changes to the Import Control List.
  9. In addition, other paragraphs contain minor changes to reflect new terminology.
