Client Contravention History

The AMPS Client Contravention History is a record containing information on all penalties that you (the client) were issued.

Requesting a copy of your AMPS Client contravention history

Under the authority of subsection 107(9) of the Customs Act, you can request a copy of your AMPS Client Contravention History. Clients are entitled to submit two requests per calendar year.

Using company letterhead send your request to your regional CBSA Client services office and provide the following information:

  • printed name and title of an authorized officer of the company;
  • signature of the officer;
  • the officer's telephone number; and
  • your client identification number(s):
    1. Business Number (BN): the client's CRA account number
    2. Carrier Code: 4-digit identifier of the carrier/transporter
    3. Sublocation Code: 4-digit identifier of the warehouse

Once the request is received and processed, the CBSA will reply by mail and you will receive either:

  • Your AMPS Client Contravention History listing as requested; or
  • A letter advising you of the reasons why your AMPS Client Contravention History listing cannot be provided.
