Speech by Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada

OTTAWA – On Wednesday, 24 March 2010, Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada, will speak to the Ottawa Economics Association and the Canadian Association for Business Economics.

Topic: The Virtue of Productivity in a Wicked World

Time: 13:05 (Eastern Time)

Place: Fairmont Château Laurier

Ottawa, Ontario

Lock-up: At 11:20 (Eastern Time), copies of the speech will be made available to journalists, under embargo. The lock-up will be held at the Bank's head office in Ottawa. The embargo will be lifted at 12:50 (Eastern Time). (Please use the East Tower entrance at 245 Sparks Street and have your press card with you.)

Press Conference: At approximately 14:10 (Eastern Time), the Governor will hold a press conference in the Burgundy Room at the Fairmont Château Laurier.
