Regional Director General

Richard Meroni

Richard Meroni completed a Bachelor of Architecture at McGill University in 1982. He joined the federal public service in 1985 and acquired extensive experience in government procurement through positions held at Supply and Services Canada, Environment Canada and Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). From 2005 to 2009, as part of his duties at the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada, Mr. Meroni managed a team that provided advice on a wide range of services and transformation initiatives related to real property, procurement, information technology, and pay and pension services. From 2009 until early 2012, Mr. Meroni was the Regional Director of Acquisitions and Compensation for the Quebec Region, and as such he implemented a number of procurement solution initiatives and carried out regional projects under Canada's Economic Action Plan on behalf of PWGSC and the Canadian Space Agency.

In February 2012, Mr. Meroni became Acting Regional Director General, and he was appointed to the position in August 2013. As Regional Director General, he supervises, plans and delivers a range of integrated client-focused services offered by PWGSC in the Quebec Region.
