Alternative Forms of Delivery

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has established innovative partnerships with the private sector for the delivery of property management and project delivery services for most of the buildings under its custody. By leveraging private sector expertise, the Alternative Forms of Delivery (AFD) approach has proven to be an efficient and responsive way of serving Canadians, while continuing to provide clients with healthy, safe and productive work environments.

Following a fair, transparent and competitive process, PWGSC awarded eight AFD contracts to SNC-Lavalin O&M of Toronto, Ontario. These contracts began on April 1, 2005 (for an initial term of four years, with six additional option years), and are scheduled to expire on March 31, 2015.
