Leveraging Defence Procurement to Create Jobs and Economic Growth in Canada

The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, delivered a keynote address today at the 2014 Aerospace, Defence and Security Expo, organized by the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada Pacific. Minister Finley’s remarks mainly focused on the progress that the Government is making, in close collaboration with industry, in implementing the Defence Procurement Strategy. She also reiterated the Government’s commitment to working with industry to ensure that its purchases of defence equipment encourage research and development, innovation, job creation and economic growth.
