Read our author interview

Milan Jacovich is back with his tenth case and better than ever. He’s finally come to terms with his divorce, he’s tolerating his ex-wife’s new husband, his sons are quickly growing and making him proud, and he has another love. What more could a man want?

Yet true to form, Milan seems to attract the most controversial cases in his line of work. Although he’s technically a security expert, everyone in Cleveland knows he’s the best PI around. When eighteen-year-old Jason is accused of date rape on his college campus, then becomes the target of an aggressive feminist group seeking revenge for his alleged crime, he needs the best help he can find.

As usual, Milan is skeptical at first. But something about the young man rings true when he proclaims his innocence. Who will help him if Milan doesn’t? As Milan plunges into the investigation, he’s surrounded by those who believe Jason is guilty as charged, including Connie – Milan’s hope for the love of a lifetime. Does he believe enough in Jason to risk that?

Les Roberts is a fine author and genial, down-to-earth man. In fact, talking with him, one might even confuse him with Milan. He has certainly proven that a series can go beyond 5-6 books and still improve. BEST KEPT SECRET addresses sensitive and controversial.issues prevalent in our society. The author handles them with aplomb, demonstrating dramatically that sometimes, there is a fine line between right and wrong, and that justice doesn’t always come through the proper channels. If you’ve read the previous books in the series, don’t miss this one. If you're new to this marvelous series, don't miss it.
