As a partner with her father in a small video production company,
Andrea Collare wears many hats. Currently she works as a writer, director and editor - as well as the less glorified positions of accountant, office manager, quality control supervisor for Windward Productions. In her spare time, she writes for an on-line family magazine, familyclick.com and is working on a book and several short stories. Her ultimate goal is to break into the script and screen writing market.

Recent projects include -

Maiden Voyage: A screenplay, co-written with Tim Collare, her father, that is based on the true story of Tania Aebi, the first American woman to sail around the world alone, in a 20 foot sailboat. Rights were obtained to the book in 1995. The book and screenplay are both being looked at by several production agencies.

D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine): a spec script for television also co-written with her father, Tim Collare, which is set in a vet school.

"To be named": a screenplay in progress based on the sci-fi, Virus, written by Graham Watkins. The finished screenplay will not be named Virus for obvious reasons. Temporary rights to the book were obtained in 1999 with an option to extend.
