The death of a former Orange Bowl queen is only the beginning, as dead women begin to turn up – bodies brutally slashed and tortured. Cannon’s partner, Rafael Hernandez, and Coroner Dr. Lal Raja both believe that the murderer’s true motives are deeper than first suspected. As they continue to investigate, Susannah Cannon begins to fear for her own life, when disturbing incidents happen around her house and to people she knows. This first novel deserves a resounding "Bravo" to author Ann Prospero. It is fabulously paced, well-written, with clean, sharp prose leading the reader further into the story, and without realizing it, you find yourself deep into the novel. If you’re a fan of suspense fiction – don’t pass up this book. It is definitely a finish-in-one-sitting read. |
