Jude Deveraux is back with
High Tide and her marvellous Montgomerys, this time in a contemporary setting.

Six-footer Fiona Burkenwalter has her New York apartment, her devoted friends she has known since school, and her fiancé Kimberley. When she is sent to Florida by her boss to spend three days on a fishing trip with the Texan creator of a hit TV show called Raphael and a guide called Ace, she is not pleased. Florida is all swamps and crocodiles, she’s never heard of the show and what kind of a man calls himself Ace?

But she manages to get into trouble as soon as she gets off the plane – bombs and crocodiles seem to be involved – soon finding herself and Ace in the middle of a nationwide murder hunt. The victim has left them all his money and they have to find out why, get along with each other and stay faithful to their respective fiancés.

This is a not just a romance but a roller coaster ride. And just when you think everything is going to continue in one direction, the story shoots off in another. If you have heard of Jude Deveraux and wondered what all the fuss was about, this is a good time to find out. If you are already a fan, you won’t need persuading that this book is a winner.
