The 150 pages of Intrigue/Intriga raced by far too quickly. Daniela Salcedo immediately plunges her readers into the heart-pounding, thrilling romance between Antonio and Isabela as the mysterious connection between the two begins to unfold.

When Antonio meets Isabela at a dance club through a mutual friend, he is delighted and shocked to realize that she is the woman who has turned him into an unwilling voyeur. Despite having genuinely attempted to resist the view from his living room window, Antonio has enjoyed occasional peeps at his beautiful neighbor. Yet we soon discover that there is more than this connection binding the two.

In this bilingual Latino romance, Salcedo has created two charming and memorable characters whose playful and flirtatious friendship deepens into an exhilarating, sensual romance. The narration darts between the two characters, allowing readers to enjoy the depth of turmoil and emotion. Salcedo deftly handles the masculine point of view, balancing it neatly with the feminine perspective - refreshing to find in a romance novel.

The characters are particularly appealing as Salcedo portrays them to be authentic to their Latin culture, without diminishing the universality of their emotions. I eagerly look forward to Salcedo's next book.
