Sexual and Reproductive Health Day 2009
Thursday, February 12th marks Sexual and Reproductive Health Day. Taking care of your sexual health means increasing your knowledge about the risk of STIs and safer sex practices. Rates of chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhoea are on the rise in Canada. Please check out the following links to learn more about how you can protect yourself from these and other STIs.
What's New
STD or STI?
The term STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) is now commonly used in the place of STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease). STI is more encompassing, including infections that may be asymptomatic. The term STI is used more frequently on this site but please note that the term STD may still be used in some links and earlier publications.
