The Public Health Agency of Canada, in collaboration with Health Canada and Safe Kids Canada, released a report on child and youth injury in Canada. The first-ever Child and Youth Injury in Review, 2009 Edition – Spotlight on Consumer Product Safety outlines national surveillance and prevention information on unintentional injuries to children and youth in Canada and gives important information for parents and care-givers on how to keep children safe.
The report provides valuable tips on preventing injury among children and youth. Health professionals can use this report to inform injury prevention and safety promotion policies, programs and activities for Canada’s children and youth.
