General
I. Each holder of an export order/licence shall submit a completed Form NEB 306 and/or NEB 307 for each month that the order/licence is valid, on or before the last day of the month following the export.
II. Nil reports must be submitted.
III. Exports of crude oil and equivalent are to be reported on Form NEB 306 and exports of petroleum products are to be reported on Form NEB 307.
IV. When preparing the reporting forms, please take the following steps:
a) Insert reporting company name and address.
b) Insert licence or order number and month of export.
c) Sign and date, as indicated, and add area code and telephone number.
d) Identify exchanges of crude oil as such.

VI. Completed forms should be forwarded to the address indicated on the forms or emailed to exportreports@neb-one.gc.ca.

Form NEB 306 - Crude Oil and Equivalent
Crude Oil Stream
- name of export stream or commonly used abbreviation, the API and sulphur content.
- also indicate "exchange" if exported under an exchange arrangement.
Consignee
- name of company receiving the oil.
Destination
- location of the refinery where the oil is received for processing. If U.S., please indicate city/state.
Volume
- volume of net clean oil in cubic metres (at 15oC) to one decimal place. If other units are used, please specify. If several shipments of like crude oil are being shipped to one consignee, to one destination point, using the same transportation system, and all shipments have the same acquisition cost and export price, then only summary subtotal information need be reported for this crude type.
Acquisition Cost
- average acquisition cost per cubic metre for the stream specified at the point of input into the export transportation system. In the case of equalized streams, estimate cost after equalization.
Export Transportation
- mode of transportation. If exported by pipeline, indicate the name System of pipeline, as well as the point of input (city, province/state).
Point of Sale
- enter the location at which change of ownership occurs. (if in the U.S., indicate the city/state).
Export Price at Point of Sale
- enter the average price received for the material specified, in Canadian dollars per cubic metre. If other units are used, please specify.
Marine Freight on CIF Sales
- enter the total cost of the marine portion of any CIF sales including insurance and miscellaneous cost. Specify if other than Canadian dollars are used.
Box
- if no petroleum products are exported during the month, insert an “X” in the box and no Form NEB 307 "nil report" is required.
