CCA call for Award Nominations

The Canadian Conference of the Arts (CCA) is calling on its members to present nominations for its 2009 National Arts Awards.

The CCA Awards are presented annually to members of Canada's cultural community who have made significant contributions to the spirit and vitality of the arts and culture in this country.

With so many worthy individuals nationwide, we encourage all CCA members to put forth nominees. Nomination forms are available on the awards section of the CCA website or by contacting Megan Forsythe at the CCA (613-238-3561 ext. 18).  Act now as the deadline for nominations is February 25, 2010!

The Diplôme d'honneur for outstanding contributions to the arts in Canada is presented annually to a Canadian who has made a sustained contribution to the cultural life of the country, whether through individual arts practice, volunteer activity, mentoring, patronage or other recognized support. More than 70 visionaries and creators of Canada's rich cultural identity, including Glenn Gould, Joan Chalmers, Oscar Peterson, Joe Fafard and last year's winner, Allan King, O.C. have been recognized since its inception.
