Only Conservatives can deliver change, accountability
29 November 2005

OTTAWA – Conservative leader Stephen Harper responded today to the dissolution of Parliament and the commencement of Canada’s 39th federal general election by saying the Liberals’ desperate attempts to avoid the people’s verdict are over and that Canadians must now pass judgment on 12 years of corruption and inaction.

“For those Canadians seeking accountability the question is clear,” said Harper.  “Which party can deliver the change of government that’s needed to bring political accountability to Ottawa?”

Harper said it is time to replace an old government with a new team, and the Liberals’ culture of entitlement with the Conservatives’ commitment to accountability.  The Conservative leader pledged, over the coming weeks, to unveil his party’s plans to clean up government, cut taxes, and crack down on crime.

“Only one party can deliver the change of government that’s needed to bring political accountability to Ottawa,” said Harper.
