The Porch is on the southern side of the house. Here many guests choose to stop and have tea. You may choose 'return to Foyer' to see the second floor, or step off the porch and begin the Garden tour which starts at the front of the house.

had an orchard and a great tin-lined apple room, wonderful strawberry beds and raspberry and current bushes, all from imported English stock, and an Isabella grape vine which Father took great pride in. We had chickens and cows and a pig, a grand vegetable garden - almost everything we ate grew on our own place."
