Boreal Highlands SubregionThe Boreal Highlands Subregion occurs on the sides and tops of plateaus and hill masses within the
Central Mixedwood and Wetland Mixedwood
subregions. It includes portions of the Cameron Hills, Caribou Mountains, Buffalohead Hills, Birch Mountains, Thickwood Hills, and the highlands around Graham and Peerless lakes, and south of Ft. McMurray. The topography varies from rolling uplands to steep slopes on the flanks of hill masses and plateaus. |
