Who Manages Alberta Wildlife?Alberta Environment is responsible for managing wildlife in this province under authority of the Wildlife Act. Biologists, technicians and enforcement officers work in partnership with the public, conservation organizations, universities and other Alberta government departments to ensure the wildlife needs and concerns of Albertans are addressed. Some of their partners include the Alberta Conservation Association, the Alberta Fish and Game Association, Ducks Unlimited Canada, the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Alberta Environment also works with the conservation agencies of the federal government and those of other provincial and foreign governments to address wildlife concerns on a national and international scale.
