Pygmy Whitefish

Status

Illustration of the Pygmy WhitefishIn Alberta, the Pygmy Whitefish is not listed under the Provincial Wildlife Act and because they do not currently include fish species, as a result the Pygmy Whitefish is not included in the provincial colour lists. The Alberta Natural Heritage Information Centre ranks the Pygmy Whitefish as S1 based on the few known localities in the province.
