  • The Morell Paturel Midgets are Island Champions and runners up in 70', 71'. Team Photo
    1973
  • Morell has some difficulty finding players from the area and have to travel to Charlottetown to recruit new players.
  • Mt. Stewart & Morell indicates interest in joining Cardigan, Georgetown, Fort Augustus and Southern Queens in reforming the Kings County Baseball League (KCBL).
  • Morell wins the Island Baseball League (IBL) crown, defeating the Georgetown Eagles. Emmett McInnis is the pitcher for Morell. Dan Larkin is the top batter for Morell.
    1974
  • There is a rumor that an Old Timers Baseball League will be formed in the Kings County area with at least two teams.
  • The Morell Meteors come alive and enter the Kings County P.E.I. Baseball Circuit. They are accepted into the league late.
  • The six teams who play each other during the Island Baseball League playoffs are Charlottetown vs. Summerside, Central Kings Senior vs. Morell Juniors, Central Kings vs. Tignish. Morell Seniors are dismissed because of previous league rules, which state that if teams missed two games during the regular season then that team could not take part in the playoffs.
    • Morell Juniors defeat the Central Kings Seniors, in the quarter- finals. Morell moves on to meet either Charlottetown or Summerside.
    • Morell & Summerside meet to do battle in the semi-final. Noel Wilson and his Central Kings Juniors wait for the outcome of the game.
    • Morell Juniors win the first game of the best of three series with the Central Kings Juniors. The score is 10-8. Unfortunately, Morell can not hold the momentum and lose the next two games 5-3 and 3-0

  • The Morell Legionnaires won the Maritime Intermediate "B" Championship.

  • In Regina, the Morell Legionnaires, coached by George Morrison, represents the Island in the National Seniors Baseball championship. Team Photo
  • The Maritime Intermediate "A" Baseball Championship is held in Morell. The three teams taking part are the Morell Legionnaires, Halifax Lions Head Tavern and the Lancaster Expos. The Legionnaires emerge victorious.
    1980
  • Billy Connolly and Louis Murphy share the Morell Chevies MVP Award, presents during the 17th Annual Morell Sportsmens' Dinner.
  • Morell Chevies win three games to clinch the Atlantic Provinces Senior Baseball Elimination Tournament. Morell then goes on to Three Rivers, Quebec to compete in the National Senior Championship. Team Photo
    1983
  • The Morell Midget team plays in the Island Baseball League.
  • Dan Larkin is the pitcher for Morell although his position is a catcher.
    1985
  • Morell Mosquitos host Atlantic Championship - won by Newfoundland.
  • Morell & Fort Augustus players joined forces to become the Morell/Fort Augustus Rec Centre Braves.
  • That same year, the Morell/Fort Augustus Rec Centre Braves won the Atlantic Intermediate "A" Baseball Championship.
    1986
  • The champion team Morell/Fort Augustus Rec Centre Braves pulled out for the season and the Morell Chevies took their place.
    1988
  • The Island Baseball League folded and three years later the KCBL was back on top.
