    1991
  • With the help of Kenny "Trixie" Dunn and Aquinas Ryan, The Kings County Baseball League (KCBL) is renewed. Teams such as Morell, Cardigan, Georgetown, Mt. Stewart and P.E.I. DieHards all join.
    1992
  • KCBL consists of Cardigan, Morell, Souris, Mt. Stewart, Pisquid, Peakes, and Georgetown.

  • Morell capture the Bantam "A" title.

  • If it weren't for Kenny "Trixie" Dunn and some of the committed players, the Morell Chevies team would have folded. Newspaper Article
  • The teams in this year's league are Morell, Murray River, Cardigan, Mt. Stewart, Georgetown, Peakes, Souris, and Pisquid.
  • The Morell Youth "A" team gets started this year and is sponsored by Babineau Fisheries'. The team coaches are George Morrison and John Cameron. Team Photo

  • Morell Babineaus, coached by George Morrison and Walter MacEwen, win Island Youth "A" Championship and host the Atlantic championships losing in final game to Chatham, N.B. Team Photo
  • Morell Chevies win their 3rd Kings County Baseball League crown over the Murray River Royals in a best of seven game series. Terry MacDonald of the Chevies is awarded as the most improved player in the series. He plays aggressively and has a total of 9 hits.
    1996
  • Morell Mariners represent PEI at the Peewee Nationals. Subsequent trips will be made in '98, '99 and 2000.
  • The P.E.I. DieHards compete at the 4th Annual Canadian National Oldtimers Baseball Tournament held in Hamilton, Ontario. They finish with a 1-3-1 record.

    1997
  • KCBL teams include Morell, Cardigan, Murray River, Georgetown and Peakes.
  • P.E.I. Canada Games team plays a team from the Netherlands. This is the first time an Island team played a team from Europe.
    1998
  • The Kings County Baseball League held its 8th annual awards banquet at the Morell Legion. Jarrod Laybolt and Darryl MacDonald of the Morell Chevies are among those who brought home some hardware.
  • The Morell Reapers team coached by George Morrison plays in the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League.
    2000
  • Morell gets lights on ball field thanks to a strong community effort.
  • P.E.I. Youth Selects coached by George Morrison, Walter MacEwen and Joe Puiia, finish 4th at National Championships - best ever finish for an Island baseball team at the Nationals.
  • The P.E.I. Die-Hards host the Canadian National Old Timers Baseball Championships. The team has a strong showing, finishing in third place. Team Photo
  • The P.E.I. Die-Hards team play the first game under the new lights in Morell against an all-star Nova Scotia Old timers' squad. P.E.I. emerges victorious.
    2001
  • Morell Chevies, after a tough battle, pass on their KCBL title to the Cardigan Clippers.
  • On November 26th, Jarrod Laybolt from Morell was named the Senior Baseball player of the year for Baseball PEI and the Morell Bantam "A" coach Sandy Munroe was named Coach of the year.
