Storage Room

This room was used for storage of the goods. The vessels sailing from Halifax would be able to sail up the river to the back of the store where they would unload. This area provided a space for items specially ordered that were not regularly in stock by the owner to be kept until the customer was able to come for his order. The storage area was also used for keeping stock that was not in season at that particular time or that was too large to display in the front.
