Dining Room
Dinner parties with distinguished guests would be a common occurrence. The meals would be prepared in the basement where the kitchen was located. The food would be carried up to a warming kitchen (not yet restored) where it would be kept warm until the Cummingers were ready to be served. The dishes on the table are the Grecian Key pattern. The two closets, also a symbol of prosperity, were for extra dishes and linens. The chairs date back to 1817, the table to 1860.
