Formal Parlour

The Formal Parlour was used to entertain important visitors such as members of clergy and business associates. The furniture is covered with horse hair and is the East Lake Design from England, dating back to the 1870's. The majority of the time, the doors to this room would be closed to prevent dust from gathering and light fading the dark furniture and room dressings.
