The capability to live.

From the Madigascar periwinkle, used in the treatment of childhood Leukemia.

virgin fiber:
Fiber which hasn't been chemically treated.

virus:
An infectious agent, especially any of a group of ultramicroscopic, infectious agents that reproduce only in living cells.

volatilize:
To cause to evaporate.

vulnerable:
Capable of or susceptible to being wounded or hurt.
