50,000 ACRES CHANGES HANDS IN HUMBOLDT DISTRICT
What is undoubtedly the largest and most important land transaction ever put through in this district was consummated a few days ago, when the German American Land Company, who have been the owners of upwards of 50,000 acres of the choicest lands in the Humboldt district, disposed of their holdings to an English syndicate, the deal involving about a half a million dollars.

It is understood the purchasers will endeavor to at once colonize the lands, which will mean another influx of settlers into this district. The lands will be handled be Jon. Q. Brandon, the local real estate dealer.
