BIG YIELD IN HUMBOLDT DISTRICT

Threshing commenced this week on the farm of Michael Flory, adjoining the town. Mr. Flory had a 10 acre field of wheat which averaged about 44 bushels to the acre. There are many other fields that had a more likely appearance than this one, however, and it is expected there will be even

better results than this. Stacking is about completed and threshing is in full swing. It is estimated that the average all through the district will be 30 bushels to the acre. The weather is ideal for harvesting operations, and the farmers are all cheerful.
