  • The perspective papers that result from the student handout bullet graphicIn My Day . . . provide an instrument for assessing student achievement of the learning outcomes. Areas to assess and provide feedback on might include:
  • evidence of research initiative
  • degree to which reasonable arguments are advanced
  • consistency of point of view
  • adequate defence of the opinions presented
  • success of the persuasive elements.

The perspective papers can also be subjected to peer evaluation and review with indications of the criteria for a successful paper clearly indicated (for criteria, see the description of the assignment included in the student handout and consider the above suggestions).
