Salmon Ceremony
Description: Lucy Olney, a member of the Sewid family, is playing the part
of the head of the salmon in the Salmon Dance. The Salmon Dance is performed as part of the
Salmon Ceremony held each year with the first run of the salmon. Lucy is a member of the
Mamaleleqala band, which is part of the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation.
