Nav Welcome to Professional Engineering In Canada: Building a Nation!

Canada is amongst the top nations in the world responsible for the research, development, and utilization of modern technology. Canadian engineers are involved in these advancements every step of the way: from the microscopic level of computer engineering, to the immensity of the Skydome, engineers are working on extraordinary projects in dynamic fields. But their expertise does not only cover what we consider exceptional. Professional engineers are responsible for much of what surrounds you at the moment: look around! They've helped make the clothes you're wearing, the seat you're sitting in, your snack on the table, and the screen you're reading. Canadian engineers work together in diverse areas creating a network of innovation. From the establishment of the Canadian Pacific Railway linking British Columbia to Ontario in 1885, to the construction of the Confederation Bridge connecting New Brunswick to P.E.I. in 1997, engineers have played an integral part in Canadian society not only as creators of stand-alone accomplishments, but in building a nation.
