Downtown Regina (1900-1910)

With the formation of the Province of Saskatchewan in 1905, and the announcement of
Regina as its Capital shortly thereafter, Regina started to grow quickly. Optimism in the
city's future helped fuel a building "boom" in the Queen City. In fact from the period of 1904
to 1907 the assessed value of property rose from $2.25 million in 1904 to $12.25 million in 1907.
