3. PURPOSE/TEACHER BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

    The purpose of this lesson is to make student aware of the people involved and their role in the Northwest Rebellion/Resistance.  The students' will develop an understanding of First Nations and Metis people during this era.

4. ACTIVITIES/IDEAS:

    Students' will research on the internet and read over the biography of Chief Big Bear.  Discuss the question sheet for any concerns.  Have the students' complete the sheet and encourage them to work in groups of two.
