My name is Tara Van Segbrook and I am a member of the Nelson House First Nation located in Northern Manitoba.  I relocated to Regina in September 1996 to complete my Bachelor of Education degree and recently graduated in May 1999.  I have decided to continue my education and get my Native Studies degree before settling into my own classroom.  Besides attending classes, I am working fulltime and substitute whenever I am available. My hobbies include reading, biking and swimming.  I plan to become a foster parent in fall as I do not have any children of my own.     wpe30688.gif (178761 bytes)

I am the Network Administrator of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College. I manage and maintain 250 computers spread over eight sites in three cities. The job involves basic help desk support, web design, server management, workstation development, data communications, purchasing, and systems analysis and development.  I have worked in both retail and end user support for the last eight years.  My goal at SIFC is to provide the most reliable systems with the minimal of cost.
