SUBJECT:  Language Arts, Social Studies and Arts Education

TOPIC:  Various men's dance styles

TIME FRAME:  1-2 classes

COMMON ESSENTIAL LEARNING'S:  Communication, Independent Learning, Personal and Social Values.

MATERIALS:   Various pictures of First Nations dances and dancers.

- gather and summarize information they have located to complete the corresponding question sheets.

   The purpose of this lesson is to introduce the four different dance styles of First Nation men.

    Men's Dance Styles:               
            - Grass Dance                             
            - Fancy Dance                             
            - Straight Dance                                             
            - Traditional Dance

Have the students' research each website and complete the corresponding question sheets.
