TOPIC:  Different women's dance styles

TIME FRAME:  2-3 classes

MATERIALS:   Various pictures of First Nations dances and dancers.

3.  PURPOSE/TEACHER BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The purpose of this lesson is to introduce the four different dance styles of women.

    Women's Dance Styles:                
            - Buckskin Dance                             
            - Cloth Dance                             
            - Fancy Shawl Dance                                             
            - Jingle Dance
                    

4.  ACTIVITIES/IDEAS:

Have students' go to each website and complete the corresponding question sheets.
