Lesson 4#                       Activity 4.1 : Building a Longhouse

The object of this activity is to allow the students' to build a Pacific  Northwest longhouse using Popsicle sticks or twigs.  This will give them a visual of what kind of structure a longhouse had. They can also develop a huge model including everyone's longhouse.  They would only have to accessorize it with people, boats, model fires and son.  This could be displayed in the front of the school or have your students' go to each classroom and talk about their knowledge on the longhouse with other students'.
