Isabelle
Jalbert lives and works in Montréal. In 1994, she graduated
from Université de Québec à Montréal
in Fine Arts with a specialization in printmaking and painting.
In August of the same year, she participated at the Symposium de
la jeune peinture in Baie-St-Paul. She has participated at numerous
group exhibitions and has notably presented her solo work entitled
L'apprentissage de la parole, in Spring 1996, at the Côte-des-Neiges
Maison de la culture in Montréal. She received for this exhibition
in 1995 a Canada Arts Council grant. She also participated at two
group shows at the Strathearn Intercultural Center (now M.A.I.)
in the fall of 1996. One of them, which was called Heritage,
presented works of women from diverse origin.
