Poets
use words, painters express themselves through
color and form .
Kathleen paints her love of life, nature, moments or sadness or
exuberance - feelings that take on form
And linger as symbols of things past, fixed as in a diary.
She reveals
herself in her drawings, floral paintings and landscapes, be they
of acrylic, oil, or watercolor.
Ever experimenting she has looked to different teachers and artists
for inspiration and techniques to arrive at her fresh and luminous
style.
Among her sources of inspiration are Brother Jérôme,
J.P. Ladouceur, N. Foremen, F. Webb, Movalli and Ming Ma.
Her journey led her to Concordia's Faculty of Fine Arts where she
received her Bachelor's degree in 1981.
In pursuit of sharing her taste for beauty, she continued her studies
and attained a teaching certificate. Her experiences were put to
good use during the next ten years that she worked with young adolescents.
Her creations
are found in private and public collections.
She has also participated in several solo and group exhibitions.
She loves painting in her studio in the Laurentians and travelling
the world over for inspiration, all of which confers a great degree
of diversity on her works.
