For more than thirty years, Stella Sasseville has been active in both Quebecois and Canadian art circles and cumulates several titles although she somewhat promotes freedom. She seats on various artist-run-centers and artist collectives boards of directors such as Xylon Québec and the "International Society of Wood Engravers". She works abroad as cultural agent and writes for specialized magazines in Paris and Québec. She has produced recently an art video: "Il suffit de passer le pont qui exploite et invente les nouveaux langages". Her multidisciplinary training and her know-how set her work on the limits of the empowerment and respond to the immediate need to communicate with her contemporaries.
