1. Hospital abortions are not reported by Prince Edward Island. Clinic abortions are not reported by Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
2. Includes induced abortions performed on Canadian residents in selected American states.
3. Due to changes in data collection methods in Ontario for clinic abortions, caution should be taken when comparing data for 1999 and later to data for 1998 and earlier.
4. Includes abortions performed on non-Canadian residents.
5. Data for Nunavut include the complete 1999 calendar year.
