AMPS 11-002, Revised Guidelines for C360
This bulletin informs clients of revisions made to the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) Contravention C360 – Person (Importer) failed to account for all imported goods at the time of the release request.

CN 11-026, Advance Rulings for Tariff Classification and National Customs Rulings Affected by Amendments to the 2012 Customs Tariff
This notice informs clients that the classification numbers shown on Advance Rulings for Tariff Classification and National Customs Rulings issued prior to January 1, 2012, may no longer be valid. To obtain a replacement ruling that will be effective on and after January 1, 2012, please contact the CBSA office that issued the current ruling.

CN 11-027, New Import Requirements for Aquatic Animals Under the Health of Animals Regulations
This notice advises importers, customs brokers and service providers that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has amended regulations regarding the importation of aquatic animals.

CN 12-001, Mandatory Electronic Reporting Policy for Exporters
This notice provides information on the new CBSA Mandatory Electronic Export Reporting Policy for exporters and explains how to report export data electronically when exporting goods by any mode of transportation.

CN 12-003, Importing New Canadian Specification Vehicles Into Canada
This notice clarifies the border declaration procedure for new Canadian specification vehicles (compliant with Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) being imported into Canada from foreign countries, including the United States.

CN 12-007, Changes to U.S. Port of Exit Codes and U.S. Free Trade Zones
This notice informs clients of system enhancements scheduled to take effect on May 28, 2012, regarding the U.S. Port of Exit Codes and U.S. Free Trade Zones for use on Form B3, Canada Customs Coding Form.

CN 12-011, Steel and Steel Products–Elimination of Individual Permits
This notice advises importers of steel and steel products that they will no longer be required to obtain individual permits but will, instead, be provided by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada with general import permits for all steel covered by the Import Control List of the Export and Import Permits Act.

CN 12-014, Amendment 11 to the Energy Efficiency Regulations
This notice explains the implications of Amendment 11 to the Energy Efficiency Regulations for importers of regulated energy-using products which comes into force on April 12, 2012.

This memorandum provides a hyperlink to the Department of Justice Web site for the regulations in respect of the determination of the place of direct shipment of goods exported to Canada when the goods pass in transit through another country.

D19-12-2, Importation of Tires
This memorandum has been revised to clarify and update Transport Canada's tire import requirements, the requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and includes instructions on how to import tires using the Accelerated Commercial Release Operation Support System.

Economic Action Plan 2012
As announced in Budget 2012, the Government has met its target of finding at least $4 billion in ongoing savings. The CBSA participated in the review and will be implementing cost saving measures to modernize and refocus the cost of operations and program delivery. The CBSA will streamline internal services and low-performing processes.

The SIMA Self-Assessment Guide
This guide is intended to help importers and their brokers fulfill their responsibilities when they import goods that are subject to duties under the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA).

Trade Incentives Programs
The CBSA has a variety of programs that enable it to waive (relieve), postpone (defer) or refund (draw back) some or all of the duties and taxes that would otherwise be payable.
