Daniela Schwarz received her Ph.D. in Geological Sciences at the Free University Berlin, Germany, performing a constructional morphological analysis on a group of fossil crocodylomorphs. Her primary research is how fossil vertebrates have functioned. She works mainly on the reconstruction of soft-part anatomy and biomechanics of fossil tetrapods, especially archosaurs, with a particular inclination towards crocodylomorphs. At the moment she is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Natural History Museum Basel, Switzerland, dealing with the largest land animals of all times via reconstructing biomechanical aspects of the sauropod axial skeleton.
