Research

CAWC believes in evidence based education, clinical practice and public policy. In order to ensure that the best available evidence supports our case for improving wound management and prevention, we need to invest in research that proves the benefits of effective management and prevention both to the patient but also to the health care system and ultimately all Canadians.
We also know that we cannot do this alone. Over the next five years, the CAWC will partner with others to increase the investment in wound management and prevention research at Canadian institutions. Our first step in this direction was the creation of the National Wound Research Task Force to help us identify the priorities for investment.
