CAWC Institute

The CAWC Institute is a series of flexible, interprofessional educational opportunities based on adult learning principles designed to support the learning needs and professional career growth of all health care professionals in the area of wound management and prevention. The CAWC Institute offers opportunities for all health care professionals to advance their wound management knowledge, skills and attitudes according to their own learning needs.

The CAWC Institute has divided achievements in learning into two components:

  1. Basic Learning (Levels 1-3) and
  2. Advanced Learning (Levels 4-6*)

*The CAWC is now home to the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course, sponsored through the University of Toronto. Click here for more information on the IIWCC.

A Practice Reflective Portfolio has also been developed to enable learners to create a plan for their learning that will become a living document to guide lifelong learning and professional growth. All participants are encouraged to complete this portfolio online.
