Certificate Policies (CPs) are a mandatory part of a Public Key Infrastructure and establish the rules of conduct for the Certificate Authority and as well as the third party participants (such as LRAs) and end-users (subscribers and client organizations).
The Common Services CA provides for the issuance and management of digital certificates and confidentiality certificates at a medium level of assurance in accordance with the Digital Signature and Confidentiality Certificate Policies for the Government of Canada Public Key Infrastructure.
