Shared Systems (Clusters)
Clusters members govern the shared system development under clear governance frameworks and accountabilities. They are responsible to provide direction for the management of the system while meeting the priorities of the Government of Canada as well as common corporate priorities.
These clusters are supported by Shared Services Integration:

- Integrated Financial and Materiel System (IFMS): the largest government-wide Enterprise Resource Planning system for financial/materiel management. Close to 85% of government expenditures are administered through GC IFMS. IFMS is an integrated management system combining finance, materiel management, assets, salary management, project management and many more functionalities.
- Free Balance System (FB): is an Integrated Financial Management Information System and is one of the government's approved common shared financial management systems used by small- to medium- sized departments and agencies.
- Government of Canada Human Resources Management System (GC HRMS): is the largest Government wide Enterprise Resource Planning system for human resources management. The GC HRMS is a shared, human resources information and management system. Departments and agencies using the GC HRMS represent approximately 70% of the government population.
- Human Resources Information System (HRIS): a Crown-owned system developed to address the human resources needs of small- to medium- sized departments and agencies. Member organizations use HRIS to manage their human resources information and guide the system's development according their needs, priorities and means.
- Automated Materiel Management Information System (AMMIS): is a Crown-owned, materiel management system. AMMIS allows departmental Responsibility Centre staff to electronically initiate procurement orders, commit funds, make payments, receive goods/services and control assets and inventory. AMMIS is used mainly by small- to medium- sized departments and agencies.
